The research group is dedicated to advancing infrastructure asset management practices tailored to Indian contexts to foster more sustainable, resilient, and equitable infrastructure systems. Positioned at the intersection of construction management, infrastructure systems, and decision analysis, our work develops innovative, data-driven frameworks that facilitate the creation of infrastructure systems that are not only sustainable and resilient but also equitable—ensuring benefits reach all segments of society.
By integrating domain expertise in construction and infrastructure management, the research transcends traditional design boundaries to embrace lifecycle asset management holistically.
This network-level approach addresses a broad spectrum of considerations, including the development of relevant infrastructure datasets, evaluation of contracting strategies, deployment of automation tools, conducting budget planning and estimation, exploration of innovative financing mechanisms, and strategies for selection of candidate projects for effective socio-technical infrastructure asset management.
Ultimately, the group’s focus is on optimising asset performance, durability, and adaptability to meet evolving environmental, social, and economic challenges.
