I am a physician-scientist with over 10 years of experience in academic and industry settings, specializing in translational and clinical research. My expertise spans the full spectrum of clinical trials (Phases I–IV), biomarker studies, safety/efficacy data exploration, pharmacovigilance, and medical monitoring. With a diverse skill set, I thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy analyzing multidimensional data. I am also a skilled communicator, having authored over 20 publications and delivered more than 10 presentations/abstracts.
In early 2022, I joined InterVenn Biosciences as a Senior Scientist in the Translational Glycobiology team, focusing on serum glycopeptide biomarkers for forward (target identification) and reverse (mechanistic pathways) translation. My work involved cancer immunotherapy response and cancer screening/diagnosis for lung, ovarian, and AA/CRC cancers. I presented my findings regularly to Dr. Carolyn Bertozzi, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (2022) and InterVenn co-founder. I was promoted to Staff Scientist and later Manager of Clinical Development during my time at InterVenn. In late 2023, I transitioned to Biological E, the third-largest vaccine producer globally (multiple glycoconjugate vaccines in its portfolio and pipeline), as a Manager of Clinical Development. I currently work cross-functionally with various departments on clinical trial design (Phases I–IV), protocol drafting, trial data analysis and presentation, manuscript preparation, and pharmacovigilance activities.
I completed my medical training (equivalent to an MD in the US), followed by an internship and over two years as a Junior and Senior Resident in Clinical Research, focusing on immunology, infectious diseases, and targeted lung cancer therapies. I pursued a fellowship in Cellular & Molecular Medicine at UC San Diego under Dr. Ajit Varki, where I became interested in translational glycobiology and glycoconjugate vaccines. Projects I worked on identified key sialic acid-binding properties of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and the role of sialic acids and neutrophils in sepsis. Additionally, I earned a master’s in Clinical Research with a focus on translational sciences. My thesis explored real-world evidence (RWE) in NSCLC patients with EGFR and CDK alterations. I am also working toward a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, Royal College of Physicians, UK.
