Email Etiquette
The vast majority of CHIPS communication with faculty about the event process is done via email. Because different teams are responsible for different areas of each event, it is important to copy all CHIPS staff involved in an event to any emails to the faculty of record about event details. You can use the event's Trello card as a guide to who needs to be copied, since all CHIPS staff involved will be members of the event's Trello card.Â
While it may seem like the information you are reaching out to faculty about is specific to your role, logistical information often impacts Education or Administration in unexpected ways, and vice versa. When all members of the team are included, we are able to work through potential issues before they present on the day of the event.
Trello Etiquette
We use Trello to track progress and documentation for events and to document important post-event data. Each Trello "card" corresponds to an individual simulation event. The video below will help you understand the components of a typical Trello card.
