Maintenance
Tracking maintenance for the number of manikins and equipment in this 45,000 sq. ft. facility is a full-time job. We are currently working on streamlining this process to make it as efficient as possible. Most of our high-feature manikins come with a preventative maintenance plan that includes a variety of malfunctions. In 2021, we began to utilize the new MeLiSA program through Echo Healthcare for our manikin maintenance. As our process continues to develop, we are in an ever-changing state of documenting maintenance plans. Nick Brauer, the Senior Simulation Specialist, is currently tasked with determining the best method for tracking manikin and equipment maintenance. For now, there is a Trello board that tracks the preventative maintenance licenses for each manikin and another board where we could begin to track maintenance issues for individual manikins.
