No seriously, the frame rate u get is gonna spoil you, its literally impossible to go back to the English version after that.

Also, I know the Devs are doing their best and working with the community to provide changes and make the game better, kudos to them. But the Chinese version is at 0.5.1 update, and the English version is still stuck at 0.3.3. Any particular reasons why?

It was published by multiple publishers in different regions, including Krafton, Tencent, and VNG Games.[2][3] By December 2022, PUBG Mobile had accumulated around 1.3 billion downloads while grossing over $9 billion. It is also the second most-played mobile video game of all time.[4] In 2021, the game spawned an Indian version, Battlegrounds Mobile India, and a separate game taking place in the PUBG Universe, called New State Mobile.

Additional features unique to the mobile version of PUBG include log-in bonuses, missions and micro-goals, crew recruiting, map and compass improvements with larger and clear markers near the teammates, and an auto loot system, as well as an increased number of bots.[8][9]

The development of PUBG Mobile took just 4 months to be completed, as multiple teams from around the world contributed to the project. The project began with the original PC and console version of the game, which was developed by Brendan Greene (known as PlayerUnknown) and released in 2017. Following the success of that particular game, Tencent Games began their development project with PUBG Studios for the mobile version. In doing so, they had to create an evolution of the Unreal Engine 4, which was optimized to suit the mobile platform, with a focus on smoother performance and enhanced graphics.[10][11]

Following India international deal for the Windows version, Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation announced plans to release two mobile versions of the game in China.[15][16] The first, PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield, is an abridged version of the original game, and was developed by LightSpeed & Quantum Studio, an internal division of Tencent Games.[17] The second, PUBG: Army Attack, includes more arcade-style elements, including action taking place on warships, and was developed by Tencent's Timi Studio.[18] Both versions are free-to-play, and were released for Android and iOS devices on 9 February 2017.[19][20] The games had a combined total of 75 million pre-registrations, and ranked first and second on the Chinese iOS download charts at launch.[20] Following a soft launch in Canada, an English version of Exhilarating Battlefield, localized as PUBG Mobile, was released worldwide on 19 March 2018.[21][22][23] PUBG Mobile KR, a Korean and Japanese oriented version and PUBG Mobile VN, a Vietnamese oriented version released in June 2018 and January 2019 respectively.

A version meant for lower-end mobile devices, PUBG Mobile Lite, was released on 25 July 2019.[25][26] This has support for high FPS gameplay on multiple Android devices and features a smaller map made for 60 players.[27] The Chinese version of the app was again renamed to Peacekeeper Elite in 2020.[28]

PUBG Mobile was the second most-downloaded mobile game of 2018, with nearly 300 million downloads worldwide. The game's largest market was China, which accounted for 29% of the game's downloads, followed by India and the United States, each with about 10% (30 million) of its downloads. It was the most-installed battle royale game of 2018, with about 200 million more installs than Fortnite.[43] In March 2021, PUBG Mobile had accumulated more than a billion downloads outside of China.[44] Including Peacekeeper Elite, the Chinese version of the game, and Battlegrounds Mobile India, the game had a total player count of around 1.3 billion as of December 2022.[4][45]

Sensor Tower noted that Tencent is continuing to aggressively push out content updates for the mobile game, and that it has entered a deal with Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) to offer in-game exclusives to Twitch Prime members.

The game also still has the Terminator license, as you can clearly see at the end, and we're still not sure why. Though it has changed a bit since we last saw it, it's still very much a PUBG clone, down to the character models. I am still curious to see how well a game like PUBG can translate to mobile, though.

There's only so much you can change in a battle royale to keep the game fresh and PUBG is trying everything to keep them on top of the Fortnite competition. Night vision was added the mobile port in October, allowing players the chance to encounter a nighttime random event. There's a zombie mode coming to the game over the next few patches, so that might be what NA players get to fight.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was one of the largest games when it first released as a Steam Early Access, but was no longer the titan of the industry when it was released in December 2017. PUBG Mobile has given the battle royale a much-needed popularity boost in China, where the game is extremely successful. Players prefer to use their mobile devices over PCs and PUBG Mobile is the ultimate battle royale experience on the platform.

PUBG Mobile is a massively successful mobile version of PlayUnknown'sBattlegrounds, with a free-to-play model that attracts a huge number of players. There are some differences between the console and mobile versions of the game, with the mobile version actually boasting many additional features, such as more game modes and customization options. This has made both versions of PUBG extremely popular, and many gamers attribute the rise of battle royale shooters to the game's continued success story. PUBG will also be receiving a release on next-gen consoles, which will allow for 60fps gameplay at HD resolution, but it's becoming increasingly unclear how well the game will fair in Southern Asia.

Outside of being banned from India, PUBG has recently been involved in a number of other controversies. The game was recently used in the ongoing legal battle between Apple and Epic Games, which is centered around Epic's popular battle royale game Fortnite being banned from the App Store. A day after Fortnite Season 4 was launched on consoles Apple began promoting Fortnite's mobile competitor, PUBG Mobile, on the front page of their App Store. A significant amount of backlash was also caused when advertisements for PUBG hacks and cheats began showing up on YouTube. Many YouTube content creators, including professional PUBG players, were outraged that hacks were being advertised in front of their legitimate gameplay of the game.

PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular mobile games in the world, so being banned from an entire country is a pretty big concern for the game's owners and creators. It isn't unheard of for real-world politics to affect the gaming industry in such a way, but it is always surprising to see. While PUBG's success probably won't be affected too much by its ban from India, it is likely that PUGB Corporation and Tencent will experience some amount of financial backlash.

The PC version of PUBG remains safe, with PUBG Corp having built an office in China to work closely with publisher Tencent Games. With the beta closure announcement given today, Tencent Games redirected players to its new mobile battle royale, titled Game For Peace (translates more directly to Peace Elites). The title is developed by internal team Lightspeed & Quantum Studios, which curiously also made PUBG Mobile. Game For Peace has immediately entered Open Beta as of today as well with many familiar game features.

Of course, Tencent also owns the Chinese publishing rights to PUBG, and is responsible for the mobile version of the game available worldwide. Despite that, Tencent bringing Fortnite to China was pretty much inevitable, as the publisher owns 48 percent of Epic Games. Tencent is cannily playing both sides of the war for battle royale supremacy, and whoever comes out on top, they win. These sorts of moves are why Tencent is the biggest video game publisher in the world, folks.

India is a young and rapidly growing video games market with over a quarter of a billion gamers in 2020. Mobile games propel the market growth, with the availability of lower cost smartphones, lower cost data plans, and an influx of free to play (F2P) games. Indian telecoms giant Reliance Jio was at the forefront of this growth in 2016 by taking a magnanimous and market-creating step to offer 4G service for free to all 52 million of its customers. We credit this action with the growth of what had been a nascent mobile gaming market in India.

Trends to follow include the roll out of 5G technology, investment in mobile esports, increases in consumer purchasing power, new affordable high spec smartphones and access to localized versions of global games. With all growing industries comes regulatory oversight. This has happened on a geopolitical scale in India in late 2020.

The emphasis is on mobile apps. PC and console games are not yet banned. So far the hardware side of things is also unaffected. Example: Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi is able to operate and sell devices in India. We watch for more Made in India tags as consumers become more aware of the conflict. 006ab0faaa
