Chindu Mohanakumar

I am a 6th year PhD student in the mathematics department at Duke University and my advisor is Lenhard Ng. I am interested in Floer type theories that arise in symplectic and contact topology. I also enjoy thinking about smooth manifolds, and in particular how techniques from Legendrian contact homology can be used to detect topological information.

I condemn racism and inequity in all of its forms. Take a look at a petition written to the Duke mathematics department on how it can take a more active role in antiracism in academia: tinyurl.com/mathduke
