President's Message

When I think of community I think of groups of people participating in activities,working with others and helping those who need it. Muskoka is one of the greatest communities in the country. Our beautiful lakes, wilderness, towns and people are what make us stand out. Most of the country sees Muskoka as a destination for relaxation and recreation. Unfortunately, for too many residents of Muskoka life in this amazing community is a struggle. With one ofthe highest poverty rates in the province parents are struggling every day to give their children opportunities to become strong members of their community.

The Children's Foundation of Muskoka is here to help families -- to help children take part with the rest of their peers in many ways within our community. With the enormous financial support of our donors, we are able to help over 600 children annually. As these needs continue to grow each year, the Children's Foundation commits to be there to help kids be kids.

Thank you to our donors and the volunteers who help us provide opportunities for Muskoka kids. Thank you to the families for reaching out for support to help their children grow.

We should be very proud of Muskoka, our community.
