The result? Children are often irreparably injured.
But there is a better way.
When your legal resources help you turn your focus toward putting children’s needs at the forefront and approaching the reframing of your family in a more productive manner, the outcome has the possibility of turning out far better. We are that team. Our approach helps you build the broken pieces of your family into something more akin to stained glass: new and not what you ever expected it would become, but reframed, beautiful, resilient, with you – and most importantly your children – better equipped to flourish in the future.
Our Practice Areas
We provide services as a Child’s Legal Representative (CLR), Mediator, Parenting Coordinator/Decision-Maker (PC/DM), and Attorney Representing Parents
CLR
Experienced Advocacy for Children
In the role of a Child’s Legal Representative (“CLR”), we advocate strenuously as the attorney appointed to protect the child’s best interests. In a family law conflict, each parent often has his or her own attorney or handle the case without an attorney. In both scenarios, the child’s interests can tend to be minimized. Engaging a CLR ensures that the child has an advocate listening to the child’s voice and representing the child’s best interests.
Mediator
Resolving Conflict Out of Court
Through mediation, we facilitate solutions to help you resolve conflicts. Instead of living with an outcome given by a judge, mediation keeps you in control and fosters creative solutions to best meet your needs and especially your children’s. Few mediators in family law have the direct child advocacy experience we do, bringing far more to the problem solving than just understanding the money side of the case (which we happen to understand well, too).
PC/DM
Working Through Ongoing Conflict
When parents recognize they cannot make decisions together for their children, a Parenting Coordinator/Decision-Maker can help. Through these court appointments, we support parents to facilitate resolution as problems arise. If parties are unable to reach a mutually agreeable solution, in the role of Decision-Maker, we can make the decision without the delays, stress, and expense of court.
Representing One Party
Representing one party in a family law dispute
As your counsel, we avoid unnecessary conflict and seek solutions to allow for the rebuilding of the family structure into a new but healthy format for the future. We defend and assert your rights to move forward securely while focusing on protecting your children and helping them thrive. We empower you to find the right solutions to meet your and your kids' needs now and for the future while preserving peace when possible.
Krista Nash
Principal Attorney and Owner
Krista is passionate about facilitating and creatively finding solutions to approach family law matters in a way that preserves relationships and truly focuses on the best interests of children.
The adversarial litigation process does just the opposite, pitting parents and those who love them against one another in a way that can cause permanent emotional damage both to them and to their kids. So, while Krista is equipped to take cases through trial, she works to resolve disputes in more constructive ways nearly all the time.
After years of experience working in court settings and for a boutique matrimonial law firm, Krista formed her own practice so that she could focus on issues that most family law attorneys and firms tout but fail to execute: putting children first, finding cost-effective solutions, and preserving civility in the process of resolving disputes. As a key part of her practice, Krista advocates in the interests of children as a child’s legal representative or CLR, leading the CLR landscape and dialogue in Colorado, where she primarily practices, but also nationally as a sought-after speaker on child advocacy. She also has extensive experience in other child-centric roles, including having for years served as a child and family investigator (CFI), guardian ad litem (GAL), and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer.
