Produced by the incredible Shonda Rhimes, the series follows the well-to-do Bridgerton family, consisting of a widow and her eight children, as they navigate the misogynistic expectations and gossip of the Regency era in English society. What really drew me to it was its handling of the historical role of women in this particular society. It pulls back the curtain of romance and beauty to reveal the ugly underbelly of this patriarchal society.

Set in a middle school in 2000, has Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine (both 31-year-olds) act out only very slightly fictionalized versions of themselves in seventh grade. Every other middle school character in this series is brought to life by actual teenagers. The hilarious duo has known each other for many years and brought this show to life after sharing some of the most intimate and awkward middle school moments with each other during their undergraduate years.

This more-than-binge-worthy series has an incredible cast that includes Jason Bateman (who also directs), Mare Winningham (I just want her to hug me every single day for the rest of my life), and Cynthia Erivo who steals the show as the lead female protagonist.

This is the best series for women in their 40s to watch in my opinion. I actually re-upped my subscription to HBO just to watch this series, and I have zero regrets. Thank you, Mrs. Fletcher! You binge-worthy broad you!

This mini-series is based on a novel by Gillian Flynn. I read it shortly after it was published and fell in love with her work. When I found out it was being made into a series, I was skeptical. But, I love Amy Adams, who plays the lead character, so I decided to dive in as soon as it came out. It was absolutely captivating.

Not only is this series hilarious on many levels, but it is also a great "friends through thick and thin" show that we all need sometimes. Even the beautiful model-like women who call Letterkenny home get screwed over, cheated on, and end up brokenhearted sometimes.

As horrifying as it is beautiful, this Hulu series will surely leave you ready to fight for your rights as a woman. The Handmaid's Tale is a show about the horrors of dystopian government and patriarchal societies, but it also has strong undertones of friendship and loyalty. You probably want to look elsewhere if you're trying to have everyone laughing, though.

The third season of the FX anthology series, American Horror Story: Coven follows a coven of witches in New Orleans through power struggles, ancient grudges, and using dark magic to fulfill their deepest desires.

If there is a show that can top off your Girl's Night, then it is the drama series Firefly Lane, which was first released in 2021 and consists of a total of two seasons to indulge in. This award-winning HBO series has so many twists and turns it will leave you needing a moment of silence to digest it all. Euphoria follows high schooler Rue (Zendaya) as she fights social issues, questions her sexuality, and falls deeper and deeper into a pit of drug abuse with no way out.

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window is a weirdly creepy Netflix show with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the very end. It isn't a long series and can easily be digested in one sitting with the ladies.

This is one of the best TV series now, and addictive, too!

Teen Wolf will appeal to every girl out there no matter what age she is. It is centered around Scott, played by Tyler Posey, a teenage boy who gets bitten by a werewolf, turning him into one as well. Struggling to deal with and accept his new life, he falls in love with Allison, the new girl in town whose dad is a werewolf hunter and wants him dead. Dark and suspenseful, this popular TV series is very, very addictive!

Starring Penn Badgley of Gossip Girl fame, You is a recent TV series based on a novel. With just one season in so far, this one became one of the most-talked about girly shows on Netflix in 2018, the year it was first aired. You is a psychological thriller for the millennials, which shows what modern romance is (or could be, if it went wrong), but never gets corny.
