Chia-Lo Chen
I am an assistant professor at the PDP centre at Musashi University.
I see economic phenomena as outcomes from the interactions of social, political, and economic forces. My career goal is to pursue a deeper understanding of socio-economic mechanisms by tapping the wisdom of applied microeconomic methods and history. Social transition in economic demography and economic institutions are my current focus. In my thesis research, I study the multiple causes of fertility and homeownership transition and their economic consequences.
