The Chesapeake Republican Party recognizes the value of life and generally stands against abortion. However, members do recognize that a total ban is infeasible, if immoral, and agrees exceptions must be in place to protect the life of the mother as well as the child.
The Chesapeake Republican Party are strong proponents of a voucher based education system, where low-income students will have the opportunity to study at some of the top private institutions in the state of the Chesapeake. No student should be disenfranchised in education on account of where they live and their socioeconomic status, thus the CHGOP strongly believes in this policy. We also strongly oppose any public policy that restricts a parent's ability to choose which school their child attends, whether it be due to zoning or distance, and will look to rectify that in the coming terms. Finally, we urge all public schooling to preach ideological neutrality, and wish to see our students grow up in an environment free of political bias.
