The Chesapeake Republican Party believes that climate change is real and is caused by man-made sources. To combat this, the party strongly supports carbon taxation, the expansion of protected areas, investment into new technology, and expansion of nuclear energy efforts. The only way to stop the gradual progression of climate change is to push more effort into preserving our environment, and the time to act is now.
