Chevy Bolt monitor is developed by GJSoft, a sole proprietorship established in the Netherlands.
LOCAL MONITORING (BLUETOOTH)
When you use the app to read your vehicle over a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter, the data is shown on your device only and is not transmitted anywhere.
REMOTE MONITORING (INTERNET)
If you choose to use remote monitoring, the app running on the phone in your car sends vehicle data — and, if enabled, your precise (GPS) location — over the Internet to our relay server, which forwards it in real time to your own second device so you can watch your car remotely.
- This vehicle data and location are relayed only. They are not stored in a database and are not kept on the server after being forwarded.
- To make remote monitoring work, our server stores, for the car's phone, a push-notification token and a randomly generated device identifier together with a last-seen timestamp, so it can "wake" that phone when you open remote monitoring. These are automatically deleted after about six months of inactivity.
- Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which processes the token for that purpose.
- Our server keeps limited technical logs (such as connection events, the device identifier and IP addresses) for reliability and abuse prevention.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
We do not create user accounts, do not ask for your name or email, do not sell your data, and do not share it with third parties other than Google Firebase Cloud Messaging as described above.
PERMISSIONS
Bluetooth and location permissions are used to connect to the OBD2 adapter and, during remote monitoring, to include your location for display on your own second device. You can use local monitoring without using remote monitoring.
PURCHASES
The Pro version is sold through Google Play; we do not receive or store your payment details.
