Background
Hi everyone! My name is Andy Lin. I have lived in Arizona for most of my life. I moved to Tucson in 2002 at the age of 8 and in late 2019 relocated up north to Phoenix for work. I'm an active player who very much enjoys playing and teaching the game in my free time. My passion for chess stems from my competitive personality and respect for its culture. From a teaching perspective, nothing is as rewarding as seeing success in a student. I am driven by passion from students and try to give my full effort to support and help others grow in the game of chess or their life. Outside of chess, I work at American Express as a product manager with a keen interest in analytics/data. I also enjoy exercising, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family.
