im new on here and new to online recording software. i downloaded audacity to my PC running Windows vista but the program wont open. very frustrating.
I seen a post on here saying you need to download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.
i went on there but it has this and i dont know which i should download.

It should absolutely be possible to make the recent versions of the IDE work on Vista, though vista can demonstrate some incredibly perverse behavior due to bugs (or what appear to be bugs) in vista's implementation of UAC (I've definitely seen cant-happen situations happen with UAC file and registry virtualization).

To fix the apache monitor you have to go into the apache directory and find the monitor application. In 2.2 it is in the bin folder. Right click on that and go to properties. Click the compatibility tab and choose to run it as windows xp sp2. That should get you monitor working again and get rid of the annoying error message. 589ccfa754
