Transport during the day (You do not need to book this - the bus will have plenty of space - just make sure you arrive on time)

To help our members (and friends) with transport on the day we have hired a minibus. The minibus will pick you up from the END of your leg and take you to the start of your leg. Therefore you can park your car at the finish and it will be there ready for you when you finish your run. It may be that you are sharing transport with other runners to get yourself from Chepstow to the end of your leg.

The bus has to stick to a tight schedule, so can not leave later than the specified time. If you miss it you will need to drive yourself to the start of your leg and arrange somehow to get back to it after your run. So... don't be late. Leave plenty of time for mishaps! The bus will not be able to bale you out of trouble as it will be heading off to collect the runners on the next leg.

Make sure you leave nothing on the bus - especially not your car keys. Make sure you either run with your car keys or leave them in a secret place (not on top of a tyre) in or near your car.

Here is the timetable for the minibus:

The minibus will head back to Chepstow after dropping Leg 10 runners off at Cold Ashton (approx 16:50).

Transport in the evening for Prize Giving/Results and Social in Bath (you need to book this as space is limited)

We really hope a lot of Harriers can attend the Prize Giving. It's a good social gathering with lots of opportunity for a chat with members and runners from other clubs and maybe have a drink or two. It's a busy and 'bustling' atmosphere. Some of our teams are very competitive and have a good chance of a podium spot. We also have 2 members who will become 'Kings of the Cotswold' (competitively run all 10 legs over the years). It's traditional for them to get a mention and be awarded a bottle of bubbly.

The minibus can take up to 16 members into Bath in the evening and back again. It will leave Chepstow LC at 5:45 pm (17:45) to arrive in Bath for 6:30 pm. After the prize giving, there will be some time for a brief 'social' somewhere in Bath before heading back in the minibus - leaving Bath at around 10:15 pm to arrive in Chepstow for 11:00 pm (I will ask around to see what time is actually favoured nearer the date - or PM with a suggestion).

Unfortunately, leg 9 ad 10 runners will not be able to make it back to Chepstow ready to take the minibus into Bath in the evening. If you'd like to be picked up 'en route' to Bath (say In cold Ashton or at Junction 18 of the M4) make sure you PM me so that the driver knows to pick you up and that we reserve you a space on the bus). This might be useful to anyone who would prefer not to be navigating their way around Bath or finding a space to park.

Some members will of course prefer to remain independent and drive to and from Bath themselves - it'll be good to see you there.

Places booked in evening minibus: Paul, Syd, Kev, Andy, Stu ....
