I am an experimental fluid mechanics researcher focusing on fluid–structure interaction (FSI) involving highly deformable structures and unsteady interfacial flows. My work focuses on extreme fluid–structure interaction problems that occur within millisecond time scales, where a thin elastic membrane accelerates, wrinkles, flutters, or retracts, interacting with surrounding fluids to generate visually striking unsteady flow phenomena.
