B.A.Sc. Nanotechnology Engineering, University of Waterloo
M.A.Sc. Chemical Engineering, University of Waterloo
Ph.D. Chemical Engineering, Princeton University
Clark received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University under the mentorship of Professor Bruce Koel. His research at Princeton was focused on the development of oxygen evolution catalysts and the investigation of semiconductor surface chemistry in carbon dioxide reduction. Clark started his first postdoctoral research at Northwestern University working in the Van Duyne group and was later transferred to the Wasielewski group. At Northwestern, Clark's research focused on developing and implementing surface- and tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy to investigate catalyst during electrochemical reactions. In 2020, Clark joined the Sargent group at the University of Toronto to work on electrochemical CO2 reduction as a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow. Clark began his independent career in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2022.
