I am a first-year Ph.D. student at McGill University, passionate about the intersection of neuroscience and artificial intelligence, often called “NeuroAI”. My primary research interest lies in understanding how both biological and artificial networks make decisions and optimize behaviors under uncertainty, as well as rapidly infer sensory signals from noisy environments and learn from past experience. Currently, I am working with Dr. Paul Masset, focusing on developing computational frameworks for probabilistic representation and rapid inference.
Before joining McGill, I had the privilege of working with Dr. Ni Ji at the Chinese Institute for Brain Research in Beijing (CIBR) for two years, initially as an intern and later as a full-time research assistant. My work there centered on developing a brain-inspired Hopfield network model to achieve an optimal balance between exploration and exploitation. Prior to my time at CIBR, I collaborated with Dr. Qihao Zhao and Dr. Wei Hu on tackling long-tail learning challenges during my time as an undergrad at BUCT.
