Dr. Sulayman Oladepo

Assistant Professor
Research Areas
Analytical

Dr. Oladepo's research involve development of fluorescent molecular probes for cancer detection. By using various modified nucleic acids, he is developing new biodiagnostic methods for assaying cancer biomarkers such as miRNA. In addition, Dr. Oladepo is also working on developing new applications based on molecular spectroscopy such as fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy. In this respect, his research is harnessing nucleic acids and liquid crystals to develop new approaches for the detection of various analytes, including target nucleic acids, heavy metals, and pharmaceuticals. Recently, Dr. Oladepo has also been harnessing green chemistry approaches such as green synthesis of nanoparticles, renewable fuels and green corrosion inhibitors for applications in oil and gas industry.
