Development of smart polymeric materials for the removal of heavy metals and organic contaminants from aqueous solutions. Design and development of novel polymeric membrane for water treatment. Development of stimuli-responsive polymers for target-based applications. Design new polyelectrolytes, polyelectrolyte complexes (LBL, coacervate, etc.), and hydrogel system with smart properties for applications in microencapsulation and drug delivery.
