Edgar López López completed his undergraduate studies at the Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico), where he obtained a degree in Clinical Chemistry in 2019. From 2019 to 2021, he pursued postgraduate studies at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV, Mexico), where he earned a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology. Edgar is currently a Ph.D. student at CINVESTAV, affiliated with the Department of Pharmacology and Chemistry, where he focuses on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of anticancer agents. His scientific output includes more than 30 publications in prestigious international peer-reviewed journals, with more than 1000 citations. He also serves as a reviewer for seven international scientific journals and is a topic coordinator for Frontiers in Drug Discovery. In 2016, he was honored with the High Academic Performance Award by the Universidad Veracruzana for his outstanding academic achievements. In 2020, he received an honorable mention, 'HOT article,' for publishing one of the most consulted articles in the RSC Advances journal. In 2022 and 2024, he was recognized with the 'Top 10 Cited Article' award for publishing one of the most cited articles in Molecular Informatics. In 2024, he was honored with the 'Top 100 CAS Future Leaders' award, granted by the American Chemical Society, and in the same year, he was distinguished as a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Finally, in 2025, he was distinguished as a 'Nobel Laureate Alumni' by the Foundation Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. - May 6, 2025.
