The extension reads chat messages from ChatGPT and DeepSeek only at the exact moment you click the "Scrape Now" button to generate an export file. This content is:
Processed entirely locally within your browser
Used solely to create the requested PDF, TXT, or Markdown file
Immediately discarded after file generation
Never transmitted to any external server
Never stored by the extension

This data is stored using the Chrome storage.local API and is only accessible by the ChatScrape extension on your device. You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser data.
When you choose to upgrade to the premium version, you will be directed to ExtensionPay, a third-party payment processor. ChatScrape does not handle or have access to any payment information you provide. All payment processing is subject to ExtensionPay's own Privacy Policy and terms of service.
ExtensionPay may collect and store an anonymous identifier and the extension installation date on their servers to manage payment and subscription validation . This information is handled according to ExtensionPay's privacy practices.
The extension uses the jsPDF library to generate PDF files. This library operates entirely locally within your browser and does not transmit any data externally.
Since ChatScrape does not collect or transmit any user data, there is minimal risk of data breach or unauthorized access. All processing occurs locally on your device, and no information is ever sent to our servers or third parties (except for the explicit payment redirect to ExtensionPay described in Section 3.1).
ChatScrape does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with any information, please contact us using the information below.

ChatScrape complies with the GDPR because we do not collect, process, or store any personal data from users in the European Union. All processing is local to your device and no data is transmitted to our servers .
As ChatScrape does not collect any personal information, we do not sell, share, or disclose any data covered by the CCPA. California residents have no additional disclosure requirements as no personal data is collected .
