FAQs

Where and when will games take place?

Gold Crown Field House | 150 S. Harlan St. Lakewood, CO 80226

Games will be scheduled on Saturday nights and Sundays.

Where will practices be held?

Rocky Mountain Athletic Center (Home of Juggernaut Volleyball) – This is a volleyball specific facility that provides all the necessary equipment we need as well as enough space to allow up to 5 teams to practice at once.

This is about a 25 minute drive from Chatfield H.S.

4895 Ward Rd, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033

We will also hold one practice a week, Friday nights, at Chatfield High School.

Can carpools be arranged for practice?

Carpools are encouraged and we can discuss during the parent meeting.

What can we expect during player assessments/team formations and the parent meeting?

Assessments will be led by Chatfield Senior High Head Coach, Stephanie Schick, as well as by our GC Head coach and assistant coach. During the 2 hour session, players will be evaluated based on skill level, positions played and age/grade groups.

The following criteria will be used to assign players to teams:

  • Results of player assessment, where applicable and/or player’s past performance
  • Coach’s observation of a player during the first few practices.
  • Coach’s observation during preseason scrimmage (if applicable)

Why don’t we only practice at Chatfield Senior High School?

Chatfield Senior High gives priority to its athletic program. The Chatfield Volleyball and Gymnastics teams will be using their gyms daily for practices and games. This year we are able to secure the gym for one night of practice.

How many days a week will we practice?

Two days a week, from 5:30- 7:30pm

Can I volunteer to coach a team?

Absolutely, parent volunteer coaches are needed to assist our Program Head Coach. It is a great way to get involved and you would receive a registration discount for your child. Volunteers will undergo a background check.
