Welcome to my webpage! I am currently a visiting assistant professor at Indiana University. I received my Ph.D from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. I am on the job market for the 2019-2020 recruiting cycle.
My dissertation investigates the consequences of using financial reporting to achieve foreign policy goals. I use the Iran Threat Reduction Act, which requires extensive disclosure of Iranian activities by both foreign and domestic issuers, as my research setting. I find that adapting securities regulation to serve political objectives, while effective, also entails unintended consequences. I'm currently revising my dissertation for a second round submission at the Journal of Accounting and Economics.
