“So...” Daxic taunted as he entered the encased room via one door of darkness. “You managed to beat the little girl after all, Zexion. I’m impressed.” “Don’t patronize me, Daxic.” replied the shorter nobody. He sat quietly in his little white chair, in the small white room, reading his little black book. Xana lied only 3 feet away from Zexion, unconscious. Daxic stood behind Zexion, a smile on his face. “Tell me, Zexion. Why did you kidnap Xana, rather than just killing her?” “Because,” Zexion snarled as he shut his book out of frustration, “Xemnas requested it. You know this already, so what’s your point in asking?” Daxic began to pace left and right, making sure to stay behind Zexion. “My point will become clear soon. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you had to kidnap this girl?” “Only a fool would preform such an action without question. She’s obviously bait.” Daxic stopped. “Correct. And the baited happens to be a nobody named Jynx. He’s unlike any other nobody, and he doesn’t even know it. If he were to side with Xemnas, there would be no power to stand against him.” Zexion turned to face Daxic, puzzled. “What are you suggesting, Daxic? That the two of us join forces against Xemnas? Marluxia asked the same thing of me before, in vain.” Daxic began inching towards Zexion, the smile ever present. “No, Zexion. I’m not asking for your aid. I’m asking for your silence.” Zexion attempted to stand, and summon his book, but Daxic had his weapon summoned before Zexion’s knees could lock. A quick slice across the throat, and the battle had already come to an end. Zexion’s arms fell and dangled, as he fell to his knees. He looked at Daxic in a daze before falling forward, dead. “I apologize, Zexion, I really do.”, Daxic muttered as he stared at the corpse. “But I can’t let any of you survive. Why else would I have waited so long to call on you?” His eyes wandered to the knocked out Xana, who lay but a few feet from Zexion. She started to come to, and Daxic backed into another portal of darkness. She looked up just as the portal began to close, and caught a glimpse of his eyes. Daxic was not smiling at this point, because Xana was not supposed to know he was there. Regardless, she passed out shortly after, likely passing the whole scene off as a dream.
A few miles away from the battle between Xemnas and Jynx, Daxic exited from his door to darkness atop a skyscraper. “Only one left.” he said to himself, amused. “So don’t prolong the inevitable, Xigbar.” The one eyed nobody floated down, landing a few feet behind Daxic. He chuckled to himself, scratching his cheek. “You knew I was listening?”, he asked with a smile. Daxic turned, an all knowing look on his face, and responded “I made a note a long time ago to always assume you were listening.” “Ha! You ARE a clever little SNEAK. Just what do you plan to GAIN from this? What’s the POINT?” Daxic smirked, and began to slowly walk backward. “It’s simple, really.”, he explained. “We just aren’t meant to have hearts. What do you think would happen if we gained hearts? We lost our hearts long ago. If we WERE to gain hearts, they wouldn’t be ours. What kind a consequences would come from taking and using someone else’s heart? Would the original heart’s owner cease to exist? Or would we become the original owner? Would we lose our new found powers?” “I don’t see how this JUSTIFIES what you’re doing?” Xigbar retorted. “If YOU don’t want a heart, all YOU had to do was say ‘NO’ when we asked you to join.” “You didn’t let me finish. Another thing that may happen when you open Kingdom Hearts...what if all the hearts inside escape? I’ve got about 100 enemy hearts sealed up in there, and I don’t intend to let them free.” “I see.” Xigbar and Daxic both lost their smiles. What had once been a pleasant partnership has come to an end. The two are now enemies, and only one could come out alive.
Daxic had yet to stop moving backward. Just as he’d reached the edge of the building, Xigbar had summoned his two guns and fired them both at the serpentine nobody. Daxic pushed off the edge, jumping off the building. He arched back, Xigbar’s needle like bullets just barely grazing his nose. Down the red headed nobody fell, his body limp. Suddenly, Xigbar had appeared directly above Daxic with the cockiest of smiles. That damned teleporting ability. Floating in the air, he fired a barrage at Daxic, causing Daxic’s black coat to turn red with blood. If this didn’t kill him, the 100+ mile drop would. But when Daxic hit the ground, the sound was not that of organs and bones liquifying like they should, but acid. His body splashed like a water balloon, when it hit the ground, into a bright green acid and began to burn through the ground. Xigbar stared in wonder over the events that just took place, until the crinkling of chains grabbed his attention. He turned around to see the blade of a chained scythe flying towards him. Quickly his eyes followed the chain to his attacker: Daxic, with a sword at the other end of the chain. Was that other Daxic just a clone made from acid? But it looked so real! Regardless, Xigbar teleported a millisecond before the sythe could hit him. He then appeared, upside down, a gun pointed inches from Daxic’s head. As Daxic slowly turned his head in all directions to locate Xigbar, Xigbar shifted along with him. Left...right...up...down. Just as Xigbar fired, Daxic ducked. A chain wrapped around Xigbar’s neck, and yanked him down. During the split second he was falling towards the roof of the building, Xigbar glanced to see another clone still forming from acid. The nobody landed hard on his head. Hard enough, even, to render him temporarily unconscious.
When he came to, two Daxics were leaned over him, one grinning wide and other looking puzzled. Xigbar, not sure if he was hit so hard that he was seeing double, managed to mumble “You never did that before...” The inquisitive Daxic replied “What? Making clones? If I’d shown you all I was capable of, I wouldn’t seem as weak would I? And if I didn’t seem weak, you wouldn’t have hesitated to shoot me while you had the chance, and I would have died. And I don’t too much enjoy dyeing, you see.” The smiling Daxic stumbled back, and liquified into a pool of acid. The pool began to burn through the roof of the building, but not as fast as the other clone, as this clone wasn’t as potent. Daxic then placed the sword end of his chained weapons across the dizzy nobody’s throat, one hand on the handle of the sword and the other ready to press down on the blade. “You are a martyr to your cause, Xiggy. And for that, I will make your second death a quick a painless one.” Daxic gave a strong and swift press down, and Xigbar was no more.
Or so Daxic thought. He was shocked to look down and see nothing below his blade. He stood up and turned around to see the tip of Xigbar’s gun pointed directly at his forehead. Without a second thought, Xigbar fired. This time, the nobody finally hit his mark. Daxic’s head jolted back, and came forward just as hard. “Didn’t you just get on to ME about hesitation, FRIEND?”, Xigbar taunted. Knowing not to trust his eyes, however, he grabbed Daxic’s head by the cheeks and examined the wound. It was bleeding acid. “Shit!”, Xigbar thought to himself. He began looking around for the real Daxic, not knowing that what he shot wasn’t a clone. Daxic swiftly cut off both of Xigbar’s hands, rendering him defenseless. Xigbar, who was currently trying to figure out why Daxic was still alive, didn’t even think to consider teleporting to safety. Daxic stood still, his sword and scythe raised in the air. “Another thing you didn’t know I could do: turn my own body into acid. And it doesn’t have to by my whole body, either. It could be just my skin...but stomach...my brain...even the blood that fills my veins.” With that, Daxic quickly cut across with his sword, this time succeeding in removing Xigbar’s head. His body folds over, on top of the head, as he de-fragments into a white and black flame and fades from existence. Daxic de-summoned his weapon, and rubbed the wound on his head. After a bit of scrubbing the wound was gone, and Daxic could once again enjoy the show that Xemnas and Jynx were performing in.
