Part 1
The sunlight fell upon the city’s rooftops, and casted shadows that gave shade to the people below. Cars ran back and forth down the streets of Navaatnes. Crowds of people walk alone side of the streets, rushing to their next destination. They are all trying to beat the rush hour. The city was stirring and the heat kept rising.
Lithoen stepped out of an ice cream shop, holding a sea salt ice cream. He was eating it quickly if fear of it melting. Another man came out after him, he look much older.
“Lovely day, is it not Lithoen?” The man had two sea slat ice creams, one in each hand.
“Well it could be better, it’s a little hot.” Lithoen was shielding his eyes from the sun. “Maybe to much for my liking.”
“Well look on the bright side, its perfect weather to hit the beach.”
“Beach?” Lithoen look at the man, “since when did you ever wont to go to the beach,”
“Since I drove past it and saw cute girls in bikinis.” The old man was now smiling.
“You’re a pretty sick old man Kales,” Lithoen was shaking his head. “Lets just get in the car.”
Kales finish his sea salt ice creams and laughed as he got in the car. The car pulled out and entered the stream of cars with the rest of the city. They carried on throe the streets what seam like they were going no were.
There was a man with long black hair that was walking on the sidewalk alone. He wore dark clothing and a black cloth was rapped all his right harm. It looked much buffer then his left arm. The man gave Lithoen a shake, but he drove past him and contined on.
Kales spoke, “You know I just want you get exited on finding someone.”
“Kales, I just got out of a relationship and I’m just not ready for another one!”
“If you say so.” The conversation now was ended. The rest of the ride was silent. They came up to were Kales lived
It was a small house that was panted blue and had yellow windows. There was a tree in the front yard with crab apples that were almost ripe. Flower bushes beneath the yellow windows. A brick pathway led up to the entryway. The house was full of life even though all lights were off.
Kales got out of the car and waved Lithoen goodbye. “Hey Lithoen,” Kales called out.
Lithoen rolled down the window. “Yeah dad?”
“ Thanks for ride home.”
“No problem,” Lithoen waved, rolled up the window and drove away.
Part 2
Lithoen drop his keys on the table and he flicked the lights. The room lighted up in an instant. He glanced at the clock and realized it was 9:45pm. He sighed and shook his head. “It is ridiculous how big this city is.”
The city died down and the moon now ruled the sky. Only a couple cars passed Lithoens apartment. Clouds clustered that block out the stars. Rain hit the roof and windows. Only a faint thunder could be heard.
Lithoen walk over to his answering mashing, “You have 0 new massages and 1 saved massage. Press 1 to reveille all massages.” Lithoen press 1, “First massage, um Lithoen, this is Christina. Your 21 and you just got fired. That was your 16th job. Your living in a crappie apartment and you can’t even pay the rent. You did not go to university, or even plan to I might add. Your life is going nowhere. It’s almost like you not even exist. I had enough. Were don”… Lithoen pulled the cord.
He sighed then sat down on his front of his T.V. He turned it on to the news. “If you seen or have any information on this man please call,” ‘click’ the channel was change to easy listening music.
“Ahh, that’s more like it.” Lithoen kick back his chair, laid back and soon fell asleep.
------
Morning came by in a flash; the light fell on Lithoen's eyes lids as he woke up. The music was still on, and was playing some piano solo. Lithoen turned it off then got out of his chair. He opened the blinds and let the sun in. The clouds from the night before were gone and the day was clear.
Lithoen worked himself up a meal, and washed it down with a glass of orange juice. He washed up and got his keys from the table as he stepped out the door.
Lithoen got in his car and drove off. Lithoen got out his cell phone and dialed a number. It began to ring.
Someone picked up, “Hello.”
“Hi David,” Lithoen began to speak. “Its Lithoen.”
“Ahh yes, when shall we meet.”
“Well I’m heading over now. Is Troy, Shalynne, and Kira coming?” Lithoen asked.
“Yeah I already talked to them. Their coming.”
“Good, we would not want to miss your moving away get together. Well see you in a bit. Bye.”
“See you soon Lithoen.” The conversation was ended. Lithoen shut his phone and continued driving.
The streets were quieter then normal. Lithoen gave a puzzled look. He continued throe the streets yet only a few cars zoomed by him. It seamed they were in a rush. The deeper Lithoen got in the city the quieter it got.
Soon the streets were dead. No lights were on in any building or people walking on the sidewalk.
Lithoen did not like what he was seeing. The sky started to change colour the more Lithoen drove. It was a dark yellow and black blanket that covered the sky. Everything started to blur. The twilight sky gave an unwarming glow to everything. He turned a corner and saw a bus on fire in the middle of the street. Lithoen pulled up and got out of the car to take a look. It looked disgusting. It looked like bone and veins it self grew on the car. Lithoen made a face then looked in the bus. His eyes widened.
“Oh my god, what the in the hell happened.” Lithoen said to himself. Inside the bus were people that had the bones and veins growing on them but their chests were ripped apart. Limbs were ripped from their torso. A head was busted throe a window. He got near the back when he found a seat full of pilled heads and arms. Lithoen ran out of the bus.
Lithoen backed away. He looked like he was going to hurl. He gained control of himself. He walked around the bus to see the rest of the street. As soon as he saw it, he dropped to his knees. The streets were filled with dead people and smashed building all covered with Bone and veins.
Part 3
Lithoen was filed with disgust. He clenched his fists, as the scraped the hot burning concrete. His head was bowed, and his eyes shut tight. A tear fell across his face. He looked up the twilight city. Pools of blood acted as rivers that ran down the streets drains. A thought ran throe his mind. “David!” he had to worn him and his friends. He got up and ran back to his car. He started it up and drove pass the bus into the lifeless streets.
He pulled out his cell and called David. There was no answer. He closed it in frustration. He opened it again and called Troy and kira, again no answer.
“Damn” he cursed.
He tried Shalynne's cell. It ran and ran yet no answer. Lithoen hit the dashboard. He then tried his father’s house…nothing.
He was driving fast on trying to get to David’s as fast as he could. Since David’s house was the closest person he knew. He was 5 blocks away when his cell phone rang. He jumped and the phone fell to the floor. He reached down to get it. He griped is and flipped it opened and looked to see who was calling. He saw Shalynne’s number ran across the screen. A rush of excitement ran through lithoen but he forgot to keep his eyes on the road. He looked up and there was a lamppost that was lying on the street. He swerved to avoid it but he spun out and hit pile of ruble that lay on the side of the road. He hit is sideways and his car flipped, slid and hit a building wall.
------
He gained conscience and found him self up side down. All his blood was rushing to his head. A headache grew from the back of his head. Lithoen unbuckled his seat belt and fell. The windows were smashed and by the looks of it so was every other part on the car. Lithoen crawled out the window and fell on his back staring out into the cold twilight sky. Black clouds mixed with the dirty gold covered the sky. Lithoen slowly got up and checked his surroundings. He was close to David’s.
“If David is alive, he might be able to drive me to Shalynne’s and the others.” Lithoen thought to himself.
Lithoen was in too much shock to realize his own pain. He left the car like the crash never happened. Yet, he stumbled all over the place, he also could not walk straight. This did not stop him from helping his friend.
Bodies kept showing up as Lithoen walked further. Some were nailed to trees. Some were even nailed to several trees. People had the bone growing on their face. The bone spread inside their mouth and escaped through their eye sockets. Bodies laid on the streets, hanging from building windows, painted on the cars, babies were mounted on posts, and there were even piles of people gathered up and were burnt to ash. Everyone had their chests ripped out, or they were just a pile of dust.
The blood was now starting to flood the street. Pieces of human’s organs went down stream and drifted past Lithoen’s feet.
Lithoen tried his best to avoid the seen but it could not be helped. There was just too much, and it was too much for him to bear.
Vomit is all Lithoen could do. He tried his best not to but their was nothing he could do.
He reached David’s house. It looked dark and vacant. The windows were smashed and the door knocked in. Lithoen ran in. his heart was pumping. He dug through fallen ruble and tipped desks to find his friend.
The house was a mess. There were holes in the walls and the floor was flooded. Lithoen check his room. His bed was thrown throe the wall.
His closet was shut and his dresser was plowed against it. Lithoen grabbed the dresser and throe it out of the way. He ripped it open in fury. There was David decapitated and chest ripped out. His bone from his rib cage was standing strait out. David was dead.
