Chart Funda — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 Sep 2026
Chart Funda is a Chrome extension that displays Indian stock market data (fundamentals, ownership, and peer comparisons) alongside TradingView charts.
What we collect
Nothing. Chart Funda does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, financial data, or usage analytics to any server we control. We have no backend, no database, and no account system.
What's stored locally
The extension uses Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local), which never leaves your browser, to remember:
- Your theme preference (light/dark)
- Your pill display mode (classic/compact)
- Your consolidated/standalone results preference
- Whether the Chartink redirect is enabled
- Whether the TradingView fundamentals panel is enabled
- A temporary cache of company data (cleared automatically after 12–24 hours)
Third-party requests
To show fundamentals data, Chart Funda fetches publicly available pages from:
- Screener.in (company financials, shareholding, peer data)
- Trendlyne.com (company earnings dates)
- api.kite.trade (public BSE instrument list — no account or API key required)
These requests are made directly from your browser to display data in the extension. We do not see, log, or store the contents of these requests ourselves.
Permissions
- Storage: to save your preferences and cache locally, as above.
- Tabs: used only by the optional Chartink redirect, to read a Chartink stock page's address and open the equivalent TradingView chart.
- Website access (Screener.in, Trendlyne.com, api.kite.trade, TradingView): to read the public company data listed above and show the panel on TradingView charts.
Changes
Any changes to this policy will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
