Android Download Albums

I have put about 3k photos in to albums on my mobile android. It has obviously taken forever. Now I have logged on to my pc to start a project to make photo books and I can't find the albums?! This is a disaster...can anyone tell me where they would be in the ablum format. They are just there in photos in time (ish) order!!

I am just starting to create albums on my Chromebook. I am concerned that this facility has been dropped from all platforms but Android. Is this the writing on the wall for the albums feature and will Dropbox be dropping them from Android as well? In other words, am I wasting my time creating albums that will soon be defunct?

In addition to albums, sort by EXIF data is only available on Android (maybe iOS, I have no idea) too! Clearly the Android app is trying to replicate a gallery which I really like, but the experience is absolutely half baked. At the very least if there are no plans to add it to desktop, at least remove it from Android. It has been a terribly frustrating experience trying Dropbox out.

Wow. This is really horrible for me. I have years of trips organized into albums, thousands of photos. Actually this was the primary reason I went with dropbox. Is there no way to save or export this data?

I enabled OneDrive backup for my photos on my Samsung Note 10 (I think it's called Camera Upload in the settings). The problem though is that OneDrive lumps all my photos (photos from Camera, from Screenshots, Downloads, WhatsApp, etc.) into one folder called Camera Roll. Is there any way to make it recreate the albums/folders that exist on the phone?

I am new to use Spotify in my Car with Android Auto, but I have one issue with the App. When browsing my library I can select and filter all my artists, which is fine. But when I have selected an Artist, I can't see all the albums the have released, only a couple of songs.

With the Spotify app on Android Auto, you can play the albums you have saved from the "My Library" tab, but keep in mind that some content may be missing on the screen, since this version of the app is designed to minimize distraction and stay focused on the road. In this case, we'd recommend saving the albums you want the most, before getting in the car to have them handy to play.

I can see the albums tab, but it is not easy to use when you don't exactly know the name of the album, or you haven't saved the album. In my case I just want to go to Artists, select one Artist and then there should be a way to see all Albums without picking up the smartphone. Of course you should not do this while driving, but when you are waiting at a traffic light, this is totally fine.

We're happy to help you with getting your photos arranged into albums on your iPhone. If you have access to a Windows computer, you can upload your albums into the iCloud. From there, you can sync the photos to your iPhone. Get the steps to set up iCloud for Windows here:

A response was posted to the old thread to make a new album, but I have done that and the new album does not show up on the Nest Hub (no albums are available to be selected - the only option is recent highlights).

I have a large library of mp3 and flac files with album art encoded using ID3 tags. The album art displays fine in the Poweramp app and in the menus of Poweramp in android auto, but not in the main song screen of android auto. I can, however, get the art to display for an entire album in the main screen if I go into the app and manually set the album art for one song on that album to the embedded art.

Media Playback for Apple Music. The Media Playback library can be used to play songs, albums, and playlists on Apple Music without leaving your app. Your app can also control music playback from the Lock screen or the background.

To modify the share settings of the group album, click icon in the left panel. In the Shared to Web panel, expand the Photos folder to view a list of the shared albums. You can then do one of the following:

Lightroom allows you to share selected photos or albums and publish your creative work as an online project to services such as Adobe Portfolio, Blurb, and WHCC. To publish to these online services, you begin with adding a connection.

It doesn't appear that I can keep this structure if I move my photos to Google Photos (i.e. Google Photos --> Albums --> All of the albums that you want, but only one layer deep, an album with a bunch of photos in it, not an album that contains other albums)

It's true you won't be able to keep the nested folder structure in Google Photos. However, similar to how you can add the same file to multiple folders in Google Drive, or how the same conversation in Gmail can take on multiple labels (folders), you can categorize the same photo across multiple albums.

A photograph from your ThinkChicago Trip could belong to albums titled Pictures, College, Senior Year and ThinkChicago Trip without being a duplicate. So although you lose the subfolder structure, you can retain the relevance of your collection.

Browsing through a nested folder hierarchy would be nice, however at the moment there aren't many options to browse your collection of albums. Right now, you basically get a stream with the most recent album you create showing up at the top.

I've written a desktop app ( -photos-uploader.yudichev.net) that scans a folder, including all subfolders, for photos and videos, and uploads them to your Google Photos gallery arranging into albums according to the directory structure. As Google Photos does not support nested albums, it will name albums like "Level1: Level2: Level3" if your directory structure is Level1/Level2/Level3.

Use Samsung Gallery. Samsung calls them "Groups" so you can have a Group called "Critters" that has all your cute animal photos in it. Within "Critters" you can even have sub, groups like "Birds" which has albums of Hummingbirds, Peacocks, Swans, etc.

I'm new to Google Play and have just downloaded a good bit of my music to Android phone. I like to shuffle but am dismayed to find the only facility for shuffling appears to be within album and not across albums (may be specific to downloaded tracks).

If you want to shuffle between specific songs, find the desired songs, press on the three dots next to the name of the song, and click on 'Add to playlist' -> New playlist. After adding all your desired songs or albums, go to the playlists tab, and next to your newly created playlist, press on the three dots -> Shuffle.

If set, the results exclude media items that were not created by this app. Defaults to false (all albums are returned). This field is ignored if the photoslibrary.readonly.appcreateddata scope is used.

Creating albums on Google Photos is like creating playlists on Spotify. Albums consist of photos and videos that you group together for a specific reason. For example, if you took many pictures during the summer, you may have an album dedicated to that period. You can even share it with others and get them to add their photos to it. Knowing how to create and share Google Photos albums is a key skill that every smartphone user should utilize to organize their content.

If you require even more control over exactly which tracks are copied, you can use the "Advanced Mode". Now you can tick each track you would like to copy and where to. Copy all songs, selected songs, selected artists or selected albums - the choice is yours!

There are a ton of people, even non-techies, who use Google Photos. After all, why wouldn't you? It's free with unlimited storage, allows you to access your photos from any device with the Internet, backs files up automatically, and is just an awesome tool in general. Photos' latest tweak for the web allows users to see which albums a particular photos belongs to.

To view the albums that a picture is in, simply tap the (i) button near the top right of the screen. There, you'll be able to see all of the photo information you've always been able to see, plus the new album info.

I don't personally use albums too often; however, those of you who enjoy organizing memories from vacations or outings may find this pretty useful. This feature isn't yet available in the mobile app, but here's hoping that it comes soon.

Google's All Access allows users to search for songs, albums or artists directly, or peruse 22 different genres. Google curators also offer up recommendations based on your listening behavior and your existing library of songs.

Google says Music will launch with 13 million tracks from a handful of labels, including majors such as EMI, Sony, and Universal, and an estimated 1,000 indie houses. There's some exclusive content, too, from an unreleased Rolling Stones record to some original content from Coldplay and the rapper Busta Rhymes. Most songs cost about a buck; albums range from $8 to $12.
