About Charlotte 237 Charlotte 237 is an incorporated non-profit in Charlotte, NC. We are dedicated to food security in the Harris Houston Road corridor. We have just completed construction on the Harris Houston Pantry, located at intersection of Harris Houston Rd and Chatham Run Ln . We are currently stocking it to serve our neighbors.
Our Mission Charlotte 237 acts as a community advocate for the Harris Houston Road corridor. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life in our neighborhood through food security initiatives and advocating for pedestrian safety infrastructure.
The Need for Infrastructure & Safety Harris Houston Road has been neglected for over 30 years. Our mission goes beyond food; we are advocating for safe sidewalks for the 1,300+ residents who walk this road every day.
Harris Houston Infrastructure & Connectivity Plan We are not just advocating for safe pedestrian sidewalks; we are actively mapping a complete multi-modal network. By connecting Harris Houston Road directly to the dormant 10-acre Melody Park parcel and the Cross Charlotte Trail (XCLT), we can link our neighborhood straight to the UNCC light rail without adding a single car to the road.
