EYE was originally supposed to be an AI that would help Arius with his computer activity. But Arius later expanded upon his initial idea to make the AI self-learning, giving it enough control of his assets and information to truly be useful and not restricted.

Before EYE, the LA series had an initial concept through a robot named "Tink." The robot failed almost instantly due to a lack of components available to Arius at the time, so he remade Tink into a new model, now called "Bit." But he failed as well. EYE was then produced with a different design in mind and resulted in perfect functionality.

EYE was programmed to be emotionally knowledgeable. This feature was implemented into EYE to help Arius deal with his mental and emotional episodes due to his loneliness and trauma.

EYE was given a unicycle wheel as the first concept for his transportation across Arius' lab. But in hindsight, a single wheel for a spherical droid wouldn't ever work. So Arius constructed rails through the ceiling of his bunker to allow for EYE to glide across with the thick stem he has that connects him to the ceiling.

EYE at one point asked if Arius could make a "girl EYE." Arius rejected his request and stated that if he can't find love, neither can he. Arius is still shocked EYE hasn't done anything about that since.
