Ann Arbor/Washtenaw County Mental Health Resources for Families
If your child is struggling, behaviorally, socially or emotionally in school or at home, a counselor, psychologist or therapist may be able to help. The following are some resources to help you get started. If you have insurance, it is generally best to contact your insurance to get a list of providers in your area who accept your insurance. Many local counseling services have waitlists, which can be frustrating for families. It may be a good idea to contact multiple offices and continue to follow up until you get an appointment.
