How to Change Your Xfinity Password

Having a strong password for your online account helps you keep it secure against online threats such as hacking. Also, it is suggested to keep updating your password every few weeks or months to make it more difficult for anyone trying to hack your account. Moreover, it is also suggested to keep the account recovery options (phone number, email address, security questions etc.) for your account up-to-date so that if ever need arises to recover your account, you can do so easily using the recovery options.

If you think it has been quite a time since you last updated your password for Xfinity account, you can easily change your password by following the instructions provided below to change the password for your Xfinity account.

Steps to Change Xfinity Account Password

NOTE: In order to change the password for a user’s account, you will need to have a primary user’s username and password.

1.) On your web browser, go to the Xfinity sign-in page and log in to your account using your current password. Once you are signed in to your Xfinity account, go to My Account option located at the upper section.

2.) Next, you will need to click on the Users tab located on the top of the page. A box with will list of users will get displayed on your screen.

3.) From the list of the users, you will need to choose the user for which you wish to change the password. Selecting the user from the list will direct you to the next screen where you will be given the various available options for that particular user.

4.) Now, to change the password for the selected user, simply click on the Edit option next to the Password option under the XFINITY Access section.

NOTE: If you wish to change the password for your primary Xfinity account, simply click on the Edit option next to the user under which Primary is mentioned.

5.) Then, on the next page, you will need to enter the user’s current password, and then enter the new password (8 to 16 characters). After entering the current and new password in the appropriate fields, click on the Save button located on the lower-right corner. The password for the user will be changed.
