Economics of energy and environmental policy
Welcome! I am Chang Wang (王畅), a postdoctoral research fellow at the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise, a joint program of the Ross School of Business and the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My research interests lie in the field of environmental economics, industrial economics, and Chinese economy. My research has two focuses: (1) The unintended spillover effects of environmental policies and (2) The economic value of biodiversity.
I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from Fudan University and has held several (mostly) internationally-funded visiting positions during my doctoral studies, including stints at Yale University, the University of Warwick, and the National University of Singapore. I am also an Executive Committee Member of the Energy Geographies Research Group within the Royal Geographical Society.
