Chandrama Sarker is a Phd. student at the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Her research involves generating adaptive classification algorithms that are able to automatically detect flooded areas from multi-temporal, multi-spectral and multi-sensor remote sensing images. The objective of her research is to develop classification models utilising deep feed-forward artificial neural networks that are able to differentiate permanent water bodies from flooded areas in real time remote sensing images acquired by aerial or space-borne sensors.
