Biography

For twelve years after migrating to the USA, Challenger was lead vocalist and song writer of a Caribbean fusion band named Royalty Band, entertaining crowds with his electrifying voice in many corners of the globe.

But to Challenger, Reggae music was the vehicle to root his message about Peace, Love and World Unity, and to bring light to everyday struggles. In January, 2015, he released his first EP, "Man Is Just a Man". Challenger is currently working on his first reggae album and staging at several venues on the East Coast alongside his band, The KingsGuard.

Challenger headlined LTC Industry Mixer at Suite 36 in 2016 and was the only reggae act at their Christmas event at The High Line Ballroom in NYC. Challenger also performed for two consecutive nights at the Caribbean Jerk Festival at The Hall in Brooklyn, closing off the event with much “Fyah”.

In October 2016, Challenger released his first ever music video “Jah Walk With Me” via ReggeaVille and keeps receiving a remarkable response as his views continue to soar. The artist is currently working with several music producers (Obanga Productionz, Scrappy Da Rydhim God, Dirty Frequency, Otis Riddim Records, Andrew Robinson A.R.W.M Swiss/Jam Records & Izrah Music), and also with a video and production team to produce two music videos.

Articles like Canada's Reggae Exclusive Magazine and a spread in their yearly calendar, 2017 paved the way for Challenger to become a household name through several media houses and other avenues. The Jamaica Observer's entertainment section by writer, Howell Campbell , consisted of an article about Challenger informing the reggae heads about the artist. Challenger released two new music videos for his new records "Cyah Stop I" and "Summer Bounce" via ReggaeVille. His other video for the record "Jah Walk With Me" made waves on YouTube reaching at over 30,000 views in one week and topping Jamaica's Flow TV music video chart two weeks in a row. "Cyah Stop I" a personal story was part of the Bloodless Revolution Campaign and took reign on several charts as well as making it to the airwaves in Switzerland, France, Australia and South Africa. Challenger has been in full support of LTC's L's Up Peace Campaign and an advocate for the last three years and performed at their rally in Times Square's Duffy Square November 2017 showing off his natural lyrical vibe to an international audience. The response was great!

Challenger brings inspiration and pushes to challenge the issues and problems of this world through his musical voice. With love for people, he can empathize with, and understand the everyday struggles. His new single “Nah Bodda with Dem”, a meaningful, inspiring record with electrifying lyrics certainly hits the mark. On the positive end, the single promotes an anti-violence message which is greatly needed in the troubled communities we live in. Jamaica's radio personality GT Taylor of the leading radio station in Jamaica Irie FM has currently been pushing the artist saying, “…Challenger is a force to be reckoned with…” clearly seeing the vision of greatness the artist holds. DJ Smurf and Talia also of Irie FM have the artist's records on rotation.

RJR Radio has also been part of the buzz that Challenger is receiving in Jamaica. Challenger is now working in studio working on new projects and currently under Production / Management – Otis Riddim. The artist holds tremendous weight in Jamaica through his street team lead by award winning street guru – Stampede. “Nah Bodda With Dem" is currently making waves in Jamaica, South AfricaDeeplomatik Radio, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Costa Rica, Panama, Canada, Antigua, Barbados, UK, and the USA. This song has gained the listening ear of the world's greatest sound – Stone Love, making for a true humbling and grateful moment for the artist. Challenger has gained the hearts of the people of Jamaica. With his electrifying performance on GT Taylor’s 2018 Christmas extravaganza. Alongside the biggest names in Reggae and Dancehall. Ken Boothe, Leroy Sibbles, Etana, Rygin King, Govana, Tee Jay, Sasco, Beenie Man just to mention a few. Challenger is presently climbing the biggest street chart in Jamaica the artist Is now holding the 5th position and moving up! On the Stampede Street Chart from the streets of Jamaica to the world! Challenger has gained the title 2019 reggae artist to watch from many of the greats in the business.
