Highlights this week include:

• Brian Fritsch, the 5th qualifier for the C Division who stepped in when Andrew Posthumus had to withdraw, ended up winning the Flight Championship defeating all three of his opponents.  Congrats Brian.

• The father and son duo of Dale Riddell and Elliot Riddell had themselves a day on Friday.  Father Dale shot an electric 37 gross and with his 10 handicap was easipy the top low net at 27.  Meanwhile son Elliot had the low gross of 33.

• The playoff races had some interesting results yesterday

  • In the A division   Team Card put up a spirited effort led by Mark Balzamo with 21 popnts and Neil Card with 18 only to fall to juggernaut Team Pereira by 2.  Team Pereira was led by Chris Miller's 22 points and Captain Pereira's 19 to advance to the finals

  • In the other A division matchup Team Dale Riddell powered by Dale Riddell's 22 points easily beat Team Schmidt 42-30.  They will meet Team Pereira in the final

  • In the B Division Team Cada beat Team Jones and Team Ewert bested Team Bloye.  Those two winners will meet in the final

  • The C Division saw some great scoring as Team Stanley, the top team yesterday, scored 43 points to defeat Team Beggs while in the other semi, Team Bonisteel and Team Chambers tied at 41.  Unfortunately for Team Chambers team Bonisteel was the #2 ranked team on that bracket and therefore advances to the final.

• In the Overall Individuals competition there are some really tight races

  • In the Masters Division John Goodman is holding on to a 2 point lead over Jim Trenholm 232-230.  But the advantage goes to Jim Trenholm as he only has to replace a score of 15 to increase his total while Goodman has to best an 18.  

  • In the Mid-Amateur Division Whitney Quail finds himself in the same situation as Joh Goodman.  He has a 3 point lead over Matt Kossatz but Kossatz only has to replace a 15 while Quail needs to replace a 17.  Despite this I think Quail will hold on.

  • In the Intermediate division the winner will be Josh Marcotte.  This race has been over for weeks.  Marcotte will also be our Al Murray trophy winner for most points.

• Men's Close

  • We still have opening for another 5 or 6 players in Men's Close.  It will be out largest ever closing with currently 174 players including the pros will play.  You don't have to register 5 players if you have 4, 3, 2, or 1 you can register and you will be put on a team.  

  • Register the meal preferences as you are registering your team.

• Winners

  • Jeff Hughes won the only C skin for his birdie on #3 and is $140 richer for it today.

• Fantasy Golf

  • Kyle Godwin won this weeks Fantasy Golf  with 64 points.

  • The overall race is in a dead heat with Erik Lafreniere, Arian Ozga and Chris Miller tied for first.  But any one of the top ten players can win the $300 top prize.
