Dr. Bao-Luen Chang graduated from Kaohsiung Medical University for her M.D. and completed neurology residency training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH)-Linkuo medical center. Dr. Chang trained as an epilepsy specialist and obtained her neuroscience Ph.D. degree from University College London (UCL), Queen Square Institute of Neurology, UK. under Professor Stephanie Schorge, Professor Dimitri Kullmann and Professor Matthew Walker’s supervision. 

Dr. Chang established a rodent telemetry system for long-term synchronized video-ECoG/LFP recordings, several in vitro and in vivo rodent models of epilepsy in CGMH for research and translation purposes upon her return to Taiwan in 2018. Currently Dr. Chang is an attending neurologist and physician scientist at CGMH. Dr. Chang is interested in understanding the mechanisms of epilepsy, brain networks, neuromodulation in epilepsy, and seeking mechanism-based and disease-modifying therapy strategies for epilepsy.
