Ya-Ju Chang received the Ph.D. degree from Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science Graduate Program, University of Iowa, Iowa City. She is currently a Professor in the School of Physical Therapy and Graduate Program of Rehabilitation Science, Chang Gung University, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Her research interest focuses primarily on neuromuscular adaptations after central nervous system lesions, including spinal circuitry adaptation, fatigue adaptations, and therapeutic intervention by electrical stimulation.

        She currently is the primary investigator of research projects of “Development of a novel Elliptical gait trainer for individuals with spinal cord injury – Gait normalization and forced exercise (2018-2021)” and “Development of Smart Cue Shoes for Patients with Parkinson Disease (2017-2021)”. She is a member of Healthy Aging Research Center of Chang Gung University and Neuroscience Research Center of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and is in charge of integrating motor performance analysis laboratory.
