Chagrin Falls Youth Girls Lacrosse is a member organization of USA Lacrosse and adheres to all current USA Lacrosse rules, equipment standards, and safety requirements.
The program will follow the equipment requirements set forth by USA Lacrosse for each age division unless formally amended by the program in writing.
All players must wear equipment that meets current USA Lacrosse rules for their grade level and division of play.
This includes:
Protective eyewear (goggles) meeting ASTM standards (for girls’ lacrosse divisions requiring goggles)
Properly fitted mouthguard
Regulation stick
Any additional equipment required by USA Lacrosse rules at the time of play
Coaches are responsible for ensuring compliance at practices and games.
Players and families may choose to wear additional protective equipment (including helmets or headgear) provided that:
The equipment is permitted under current USA Lacrosse rules.
The equipment does not pose a safety risk to other players.
The equipment does not alter the rules of play.
The program does not require additional equipment beyond USA Lacrosse standards at this time.
If USA Lacrosse updates its equipment requirements (including helmet mandates), the program will adopt those changes in alignment with the governing body’s timeline.
Any program-specific modifications to equipment policy must be:
Approved by program leadership
Documented in writing
Communicated to all registered families prior to implementation.
All participants must complete USA Lacrosse membership registration and associated waivers prior to participation.
The program does not create supplemental waivers beyond USA Lacrosse requirements unless formally approved by legal counsel.
Failure to comply with required equipment standards may result in removal from participation until corrected.
This policy supersedes informal communications or prior verbal guidance.
