Effective date: 14 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Cetu Wallet Team (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use Cetu Wallet (the “App”).
Cetu Wallet is a self-custody Sui wallet. It allows users to create or import a wallet, view a SUI balance and portfolio, receive and send SUI, and access public market information.
Self-custody means that you hold and control your own wallet credentials. We cannot access, freeze, move, or recover your funds, and we cannot reset a lost recovery phrase on your behalf.
If you use the optional encrypted recovery feature described in Section 3, the App may store an encrypted recovery envelope to allow you to restore your wallet.
The App handles public Sui addresses, wallet labels, SUI balances, and blockchain transaction information. Sui addresses and submitted transaction records are visible on a public blockchain.
When a wallet is created or imported, the App may also derive public addresses for other supported blockchains from the same recovery phrase. These addresses are not displayed in the App and are not used for transactions unless explicitly supported by the App. They may be included in an encrypted recovery envelope so that the same wallet configuration can be restored.
To provide balances, fees, transaction preparation, submission, confirmation, and market information, the App sends requests to Sui network infrastructure and market-data services.
Depending on the requested operation, these requests may include a public Sui address, blockchain object identifiers, transaction data, requested amounts, and ordinary technical connection information processed by the receiving service.
The App may store preferences and limited, redacted diagnostic information locally on your device.
Sensitive wallet credentials and recovery phrases are not intentionally included in diagnostic records.
The App does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs.
The App may provide an optional encrypted recovery feature that allows you to create a backup of wallet information.
When this feature is used, the App creates an encrypted recovery envelope. The envelope may contain wallet information necessary to restore the wallet, including derived wallet configuration and other information required by the recovery process.
The recovery envelope is encrypted before it is transmitted to the Recovery Vault service.
We do not use the recovery envelope for advertising, analytics, or behavioural profiling.
If the encryption design prevents the Recovery Vault service from decrypting the envelope, the service cannot read the wallet information contained within it. However, you remain responsible for protecting any credentials or recovery information required to decrypt or restore the backup.
If you delete an encrypted recovery envelope, that backup route cannot be restored through the Recovery Vault service.
We use information handled by the App to:
operate the wallet and display SUI balances;
prepare, sign, submit, and confirm user-requested transactions;
display portfolio and public market information;
provide the optional encrypted recovery feature;
maintain reliability and security;
diagnose technical issues using limited, redacted diagnostic information;
comply with legal obligations and applicable terms.
We do not sell personal information and do not use wallet information for behavioural advertising.
The App relies on third-party infrastructure and service providers to provide blockchain, market-data, hosting, database, and encrypted recovery functionality.
These services may process information necessary to provide the requested functionality, such as public blockchain addresses, blockchain data, transaction information, encrypted recovery envelopes, and ordinary technical connection information.
Each independent service may process information according to its own terms and privacy policy.
The current production providers used by the App are identified in the public provider information associated with this Privacy Policy.
Public blockchains are distributed systems outside our control.
Wallet addresses, submitted transactions, balances, and related blockchain records may be publicly visible and may remain permanently available on the blockchain.
We cannot modify, remove, or delete information that has already been recorded on a public blockchain.
App preferences remain on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App, subject to operating-system behaviour.
The App does not create a conventional account using an email address, username, or password.
If you use the encrypted recovery feature, encrypted recovery envelopes may be retained for as long as necessary to provide the recovery functionality.
You may request deletion of an encrypted recovery envelope or other data controlled by us by contacting our privacy contact listed below.
We may need sufficient information to identify the relevant record before processing a deletion request.
Deleting an encrypted recovery envelope is irreversible and removes that backup route.
Public blockchain records cannot be deleted through a deletion request.
The App uses device-protected storage for sensitive wallet information and encrypted transport for production services.
Where supported by the recovery architecture, recovery envelopes are encrypted before being transmitted to the Recovery Vault service.
Screenshots and screen recording are blocked within relevant areas of the App to reduce the risk of sensitive wallet information being captured through those mechanisms.
No system can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting your device, your recovery phrase and any credentials required to restore your wallet. You should also carefully review every transaction before approving it.
The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
The Google Play target audience for the App excludes child age groups.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its providers, or applicable legal requirements change.
The current version of this Privacy Policy will be published at the public Privacy Policy URL and will include a revised effective date when material changes are made.
