Linda Lidberg - August 2020

UFO's from Linda Lidberg

Needless to say I have been busy during this COVID down time. It has allowed me to finish two Christmas projects: a mini Santa quilt and a tree table runner. I was also able to finish the Dear Jane quilt I started a few years ago thanks to the heirloom quality quilting by Sally Inoye. The Halloween quilt, Boo Hollow, was a block of the month project from Stitchin' Heaven, a shop in Texas, and is hand quilted as is the Dresden Sunflowers quilt done with English Paper Piecing. The gray and red quilt was a Bobbi Porter class project that I named Millennial Wedding Ring (quilted by the "sisters") and gave to my nephew and his bride for their August 1st wedding. The scrappy courthouse steps quilt was begun in the 1970s at a retreat with Jean Ray Laury. Each block has four different color combinations, each of which is carried over to the adjacent block. A nightmare to plan but fun to stash bust. If this virus lasts much longer I won't have any UFOs left!!
