Centaurus Peace Jam
Peace Jam is an international organization whose mission is to create young leaders committed to positive change in themselves, their communities, and the world through the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureates who pass on the spirit, skills, and wisdom they embody.
Peace Jam at Centaurus is open to all students. We meet weekly, usually on Mondays (email us if you would like to join). We encourage all to participate because we are working to create change in our community which includes all students.
Projects
- Global Call to Action Project
- Work with a group from Mexico in a culture exchange effort. We communicate with them via Facebook and Skype.
Success!
- Collecting donations for relief effort in the U.S. Virgin Islands through the organization Adopt a Family USVI. Six full boxes packaged and sent.
- Eliminating Single-use plastic bottles from all school events.
