I am an applied microeconomist. My research lies at the intersection of migration economics, labor economics, and development economics. Most of the context of my work is informal economies.
My current research is rooted in two primary projects. The first project centers on migration and labor markets, with a focus on understanding the effects of migration on local labor markets and on examining the drivers of socio-economic integration among migrants in recipient economies characterized by high levels of informality. The second project delves into the relationship between artisanal mining and the economic outcomes of local communities.
I currently work as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Universidad de Piura and am affiliated with the Lima School of Economics. I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics and M.Sc. in Economics from Stony Brook University and my B.A. in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
