PRIVACY POLICY FOR CELESTAR MOD MENU V2
Last Updated: October 2026
Version: 2.0.0
1. INTRODUCTION & CORE PRIVACY COMMITMENT
Celestar Mod Menu v2 ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a lightweight, competitive client modification tool built specifically for the MineFun.io web game (https://minefun.io/ and https://sandbox.minefun.io/).
We are staunch advocates of digital privacy. Celestar is engineered from the ground up to operate 100% locally within your browser client. We do not track, collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal information, gaming history, or online activity.
=======================================================
2. WHAT INFORMATION WE PROCESS AND WHERE IT IS STORED
=======================================================
• Personal Data: ZERO. We do NOT collect your name, email, IP address, device fingerprint, browsing history, passwords, or communications.
• Game Configuration & Preferences:
- User-defined keybindings (e.g., custom hotkeys for Menu, Zoom, Waypoints).
- HUD overlay coordinates, scales, color themes, and visibility states.
- Waypoint coordinates (X, Y, Z labels and colors).
- Visual preferences (crosshair URL, particle cleaner toggles, audio volume).
Where is this stored?
All preferences and game configuration values are saved 100% locally on your own computer using standard browser storage mechanisms (`chrome.storage.local` and domain-scoped `localStorage`). This configuration data never leaves your computer and is never transmitted to external servers.

3. DETAILED BREAKDOWN OF REQUESTED PERMISSIONS
=======================================================
To function reliably inside Google Chrome while adhering strictly to Google's Extension Security standards, Celestar requests only two specific permissions:
1. Host Permissions ("https://minefun.io/*", "https://sandbox.minefun.io/*"):
• Purpose: Allows the extension to inject and run the client-side mod script into the MineFun web application. This is what renders the custom keystrokes HUD, draws the tactical compass, applies smooth camera zoom, and presents the in-game settings GUI.
• Scope: Strictly restricted to official MineFun domains. Celestar has zero access to any other website you visit.
2. "storage":
• Purpose: Provides access to Chrome's local extension storage API (`chrome.storage.local`).
• Scope: Used exclusively to save and retrieve your custom hotkeys, layout positions, and module presets across browser restarts so you never have to reconfigure your setup.
=======================================================
4. ARE ALL THESE PERMISSIONS REALLY NECESSARY?
=======================================================
YES. Every permission requested by Celestar Mod Menu v2 represents the absolute minimum privilege required to deliver its features:
• Strict Domain Scoping (No Wildcard Access):
Many web store extensions request broad permissions such as `<all_urls>` or `*://*/*`, which grant access to every website you visit. Celestar intentionally rejects this practice. We restrict our host permissions strictly to `https://minefun.io/*` and `https://sandbox.minefun.io/*`. Celestar cannot run, read, or interact with any other tab or website.
• Why We Do NOT Request Sensitive Permissions:
- NO `webRequest`: We do not inspect or alter your network traffic.
- NO `cookies`: We have no interest in session tokens or account credentials.
- NO `history`: We cannot see what websites you have previously visited.
- NO `identity`: We do not know who you are and do not access your Google account.
- NO `tabs`: We do not monitor your active tabs or browsing activities.
• Why Storage Is Indispensable:
Without the `storage` permission, every single customization—your custom waypoints, your carefully calibrated zoom FOV, your keystrokes screen position, and your custom hotkeys—would be lost every time you refresh or close the browser tab.
In summary: Not a single superfluous or invasive permission is present. The extension adheres strictly to the Principle of Least Privilege.
=======================================================
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & TELEMETRY
=======================================================
• Zero Analytics: We do not integrate Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Sentry, or any telemetry SDKs.
• Zero Advertising: The extension contains no ads, trackers, banners, or affiliate codes.
• Zero Remote Code Execution: In compliance with Chrome Web Store Manifest V3 guidelines, 100% of the executable code is packaged directly within the local extension bundle. No external executable scripts are fetched at runtime.
=======================================================
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA / GDPR COMPLIANCE)
=======================================================
Because Celestar Mod Menu v2 does not collect, retain, or share any personal information whatsoever, it fully complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Players of all ages can use the extension with complete confidence and safety.
=======================================================
7. USER CONTROL & DATA DELETION
=======================================================
You maintain complete ownership and control over your configuration:
• Reset Settings: You can click the "Reset All Settings" button inside the in-game Celestar menu at any time to purge all local configuration keys.
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling the extension immediately removes all associated local extension storage from your Chrome profile.
