Cebu Bradford School is a dynamic Christian school producing globally competitive students passionate about God, growing with purpose, and prepared for life.
Cebu Bradford School was founded as Bradford Kindergarten School in 1956 under the Christian Education program of Bradford Church, with 20 pupils in attendance. What was once just a program evolved into a formal school as the enrollment increased. The Department of Education, Culture, and Sports (DECS) issued Cebu Bradford School a permit to operate Nursery 1, Nursery 2, Kindergarten 1, and Kindergarten 2. Subsequent government recognition was granted on June 3, 1974. On April 16, 1995, DECS issued a permit for Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4, and in the following year, another permit was issued for Grades 5 and 6. On May 6, 2004, government recognition was granted by the Department of Education (DepEd) for the whole elementary program of CBS.
In the school year 1999 – 2000, a permit was issued by DepEd to operate the secondary department, with the government recognition granted on February 17, 2004. CBS followed the curricula mandated by DepEd for pre-elementary, elementary, and secondary levels, including the K + 12 program. As a non–stock, non–profit Christian institution, owned and operated by Bradford United Church of Christ, Inc. (BUCCI), CBS has gained respect in the field of quality basic education and Christian values. Located at 340 – P. Ascencion Street, Sambag II, Urgello, Cebu City, the school is in a newly constructed six-story building with an elevator and fully air-conditioned classrooms.
The Pre-Elementary Program of CBS is for children ages 3-5. It covers Nursery, Kindergarten I and II to equip the pupils with the needed readiness program for their cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development.
The Elementary Program uses the curriculum mandated by the Department of Education, offering complete subjects from Grades I to VI. It assists each pupil in developing his potential in basic skills, critical awareness, decision-making, and creative action and participation.
The High School Program follows the K+12 program of the Department of Education which includes Grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. The students are developed to acquire knowledge, attitudes, values, and skills for productive endeavors.
