RWNYC 2019

Ringing World National Youth Contest 2019

On the 6th of July 2019, Liverpool will be hosting the annual RWNYC. It would be excellent if we could enter at least one team from the Chester Diocesan Guild!

If you know of anyone who will be under 19 (by 31st of August 2019) and would like to take part in the 2019 competition; let me know!

I am going to organising some general youth ringing in Cheshire, to allow people to ring on 6, 8, 10 and 12! Please come along!

I've had this from Kevin Rogers. Please let him or Helen [] know if you are interested and pass the details on to anyone else whom you think might want to be included.

Hello Everyone

Every year the Ringing World National Youth Contest (RWNYC) brings together young ringers from across the country for a day of ringing fun culminating in a competition involving teams of 8. This year's contest held in London attracted 28 teams with 224 young people of all abilities and there are some pictures of the day and a report attached.

Next year's competition on 6th July is pretty much on home ground for us being located in Liverpool. We are interested in seeing if there are any young people who would be interested in forming a band to enter. It is open to those aged under 19 on 31 st August 2019. While the emphasis is on having a fun time at various towers in and around Liverpool, it would be necessary to commit to a number of practices and especially to be available on the day so as to avoid letting the others down. As far as the competition goes it is either rounds and call changes on 8 or there is a separate trophy for change ringing. Please let us know if you are interested coming to an initial get together to see what might be possible. A reply in the next 2 weeks would be appreciated.
