We have not tested using our My Book live duo devices with cctv/ip camera they have not been build for direct recording purposes. I would suggest you to wait for other users to comment if anyone would have been successful in achieving that using FTP.

I'm using django, opencv, daphne, asgi for my system. Using wsgi able to live stream cctv in html without any issue. When using asgi unable live stream cctv in html.Going through alot example in web and found out, current status able to use websocket to open the html but still unable show live stream for cctv.Any suggestion/recommendation what I can do next? I had out of ideas.

When the cameras are set to High Res (2048 x 1536) the live feed 'stutters' whenever there is movement within the viewing area. As the movement increases there is a loss in feed, so we can lose 10secs of feed then it resumes, freezes again, jumps to 10 sec or so further on etc. This is reflected in the recording as well - so it is to do with the feed to the NVR.

For example, where I live we reach 95 Mbps goodput on 5 GHz over a distance of 538m, but only 3-5 Mbps if using the 2.4 GHz band on the very same link. There are just too many foreign APs eating up too much AirTime, so the CPE can only acquire a very small amount of AirTime to send data even over a 300 Mbps wireless link.

But even if you live in a rural area, a CPE210 can not offer the bandwidth needed by 5 cams with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution in High Quality with high motion activity - this would require ~108 Mbps Ethernet goodput for all 5 cams.

From what you say, the way this works is that the cameras are connected to the NVR and the NVR is connected to the hub using the powerline devices. You then look at live view using a phone app connected to you hub over WiFi.

fwiw, I can't get the newly install of Hik Connect android edition to work in Live View on android 11 phone and android 9 tablet, with a new DVR installed recently using IP/domain method. The live videos buffer to say 90% and stop because the app is not asking for the encryption key when setting up the app for the first time. Playback works fine. Live View works fine in cloud/p2p mode though. Looks like a software bug to me in current android edition.

thanks for the replies guys, I messaged the installer of the cctv to see if they had any ideas as to why this is happening, he suggested, turn off router, turn off nvr & power adapters, wait a while, log out of the app, turn everything back on and log back into HIK connect, cameras loaded instantly, so its working "for now" but we had this before when we did a simple reboot it would work fine for a week or so then end up going back to not loading the live view. Very strange. also what's strange, we have the same exact system at our house and never had this problem, but when I am connected on my phone to their plus net wifi, I get the same message intermittently connecting to my cameras so the issue here definitely seems like its wifi/router issue with plusnet as soon as I disconnect from their wifi and use 5g my cameras load instantly.

This WIFI-HDX8 wireless HDMI transmitter / receiver kit can be added to any of our live security camera display systems to create a wireless bridge between the security camera and monitor / TV.
