Copyright & Intellectual Property
You can own property. This means it has value and that value can go up or down. You can choose to sell your property if you wish.
Intellectual Property refers to something that someone creates. It might be just an idea, or it might be music, an image, a computer program, an invention, a story and many more things that the human mind can create. Like physical property, intellectual property can have a value and this can be traded.
There are laws that protect intellectual property so creators get fairly paid and to allow prosecution of others who steal, or pass off work as their own.
