This Is How We Do It: Click the Arrow for Instructions

A luxurious lodge sounds like the perfect place to chill. OMG. You arrive at your destination and instead of a lovely lodge, you’re in a dated and dumpy cabin. It’s all good… NOT! Maybe you shouldn’t have gone with that discount travel agency. LOL. The free Internet advertised is dial-up and when you try the antiquated computer, there is a strange sound, a series of error messages, and all of a sudden, you’re trapped in a digital version of the 90s! Will you get mega props and escape? Or will you be trapped forever?

Come as you are, as you were, as I want you to be to play this game designed for tweens, teens, and adults. I recommend using Chrome for the browser. If you're on a phone, holding it horizontally may help for some clues. The first rule about Escape the 90s is: you DO talk about Escape the 90s. Tell your friends! We aren't Fight Club and it's fun to do with family or friends on Zoom or another online chat service.

Read along with the game and pay attention. Follow all the links you find because they'll help you answer the questions. You'll definitely need paper and a pencil. Don’t forget to put in your answer before you click next. Don't capitalize. If you get an answer wrong, you'll get some sort of hint. (If you want a hint, type in an incorrect answer and then read the red text. For multiple choice questions, this doesn't work, but more help should be on the page.) Don't forget to scroll to make sure you see everything!

I recommend jotting down your answers in case you have to start over. Remember, Googling the answers is cheating. We didn't even have the first official Google search engine until 1998! As Des'ree would say, try to solve the puzzles in your own sweet time. There are a lot of 90s references, but you don't NEED to know about the decade to win.

Please press Submit at the end so we know how many of you are playing. Have fun!
